Engagement Coordinator
Base pay range
A$95,961.00/yr - A$105,250.00/yr (Remuneration up to $123,142 including 17% super)
Your opportunity
As the Engagement Coordinator within the Future Students and Outreach team, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating major student recruitment events, including Open Days and outreach activities, to enhance Southern Cross University's presence and appeal to prospective students. A key focus will be ensuring measurable return on investment by optimising event impact, tracking outcomes and contributing to the University's strategic goals for student recruitment and growth.
Key responsibilities
* Coordinating and delivering major student recruitment events across all campuses, including Open Day, outreach activations and high‑achiever engagement events.
* Managing end‑to‑end event logistics, risk documentation, staffing, creative activations, supplier coordination and post‑event evaluation.
* Preparing high‑quality executive documentation including briefing notes, guest lists, run sheets and reports.
* Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure aligned communication and seamless event delivery.
* Leading and supporting student ambassadors, casual staff and volunteers to ensure readiness, professionalism and exceptional on‑the‑day execution.

Qualifications and experience
* Demonstrated experience coordinating end‑to‑end events across multiple locations.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including experience preparing executive‑level reports and documentation.
* Proven ability to multitask, adapt to shifting priorities and remain composed while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
* High level attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate documentation and manage complex event logistics.
* Experience coordinating staffing or volunteers to support event operations.

* Full‑time, fixed‑term (12 months).
* Location: Gold Coast, QLD 4225 or Lismore, NSW 2480.
* HEW Level 6. Base salary ranges from A$95,961 to A$105,250 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. Total remuneration package up to $123,142.
