(Applicants without an awarded PhD in Philosophy will not be considered). Additionally, you will demonstrate:* Evidence of high-quality course design, coordination, and delivery of teaching at undergraduate level in Philosophy, including metaethics and applied ethics.* Ability to teach ethics in undergraduate and postgraduate programs outside the Humanities, in areas including Data Science, Health Science, Public Health, Biomedical Science, and Business Analytics.* A developing reputation and track record of high-quality publications, in Ethics.* Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining, and managing external research funding.* Ability to be a leader in Ethics, across UQ.* Willingness to undertake internal service in the School, and to contribute to external service roles beyond UQ.* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.**Desirable*** The ability to teach existing courses especially PHIL3630 Advanced Moral and Political Philosophy.Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks.
