We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Engineering Manager to lead our Fixed Wing operations team.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all engineering activities associated with tooling, procurement, records management, and training. They will ensure that all aircraft maintenance is conducted in accordance with regulatory and procedural standards.
This is a leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team of Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of engineers supporting Fixed Wing operations
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural standards
* Manage engineering activities including tooling, procurement, records management, and training
Requirements:
* Possess a current CASA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 & C Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
* Minimum ten (10) years' experience as a LAME in aviation maintenance and engineering management and coordination
* Advanced knowledge of current CASA regulatory legislation as it relates to a CAR 30 and/or Part 145 maintenance organisation
Desirable Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Responsible Manager Engineering/Chief Engineer within a CAR 30 or Part 145 Maintenance Organisation
* Demonstrated ability to manage a team in an aviation organisation
* Experience using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
* Heavy/deep maintenance experience
* Hold a Part 66 License with aircraft type ratings for at least one of: Beechcraft King Air 350/360, or Beechcraft 1900; or
* Hold a Part 66 License with engine type rating for PWC PT6A series engine
* Competent with the Microsoft Office Suite

In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment testing and participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program.
