Role Overview
The Production Engineer - Back of Ute role is primarily responsible for process design & development and deployment of equipment and documentation, in line with internal best practices, to enable new products/services that inhabit any Back of Ute real estate, to internal & external customers. This may include products such as Canopies, Hardlids, Sports Lids, Service Bodies, Trays, Drawers, Tanks and Storage Solutions.
Additional duties include actively supporting current products/services of all types throughout the later stages of their product lifecycle.
The role is multi-faceted and involves a range of activities that include product & process innovation and process development.

About You
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Manufacturing/Industrial). Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer for the purposes of providing professional engineering services in Victoria.
* Experience in Production/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Design Engineering in automotive or related product development settings, with at least 5 years of experience
* Extensive experience in product and process design for thermoformed, fabricated & welded, extruded and assembled products
* Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing concepts
* Demonstrated experience in CAD Design, CAD Data Management and Document Management, preferentially with SolidWorks
* Demonstrated skills with ERP systems, such as JDE
* Demonstrated experience in GD&T and drafting to ASME Y14.5-2009 standards
