About the Role
The Disaster Recovery Analyst will play a key role in helping the team restore business operations in the event of a disaster. This role will assist in improving Disaster Recovery for the organisation and will also give you the opportunity to cross train and participate in other key areas in Information Security, such as Third-Party Risk, Policies, Data Governance, Security Awareness Training, and PCI.
Responsibilities
* Maintain Disaster Recovery Standards for the organisation.
* Manage and uplift the HN Disaster Recovery process for critical applications/services both in a Cloud and an on-premises environment.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders and the IT Leadership team to develop and execute a Disaster Recovery Testing Calendar across Australia and international sites.
* Maintain Disaster Recovery Runbooks for all critical applications/services.
* Guide the development of Disaster Recovery strategies for critical applications to ensure recovery in the event of incidents like application failures, Data Centre outages, or Cyber related events.
* Manage the recovery of critical applications and services in the event of any incidents that require Disaster Recovery to be implemented to recover the services.
* Chair monthly Disaster Recovery Forums with senior leaders and key stakeholders, providing executive level updates on the status of Disaster Recovery.
* Provide leadership and guidance as required for all Disaster Recovery activities for the organisation.
* Oversee and ensure Harvey Norman IT's Business Continuity readiness.
* Provide backup to other key members of the Information Security Team as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on Disaster Recovery. You will also hold a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science or have equivalent work experience. Additionally, you will possess:
* Excellent analytical skills to process vast amounts of data and produce meaningful reports using tools like Power BI and MS Excel.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
* Sound knowledge of disaster recovery frameworks such as ISO 22301/27031 and/or other frameworks.
* One or more Disaster Recovery certifications (EDRP, DRCP, CBCP) would be advantageous.
* Good technical writing skills.
