About the Position:
About Smiles Chatswood is currently searching for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team on a full-time basis 4 days per week, including 2 Saturdays per month.
We are a modern 8 chair fast-paced cosmetic-focused practice with state-of-the-art technology. We have a long-standing history in the community and provide exceptional customer service and patient care to everyone who walks through the door.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
2. Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
3. Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
4. Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
6. Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What do you need to succeed:
* Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
* A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
* Attention to detail
