About the Opportunity Reporting to the Infrastructure Program Manager, the Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for overseeing infrastructure planning and delivery activities across ASC's South Australian and Western Australian sites.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure projects through all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation and planning to execution, commissioning, and closeout.
The Infrastructure Project Manager will lead the delivery of major capital projects that enhance strategic infrastructure capabilities for the various programs across ASC.
The role also encompasses the management of minor works that maintain and support existing operational capabilities.
Responsibilities Planning, developing, and maintaining project performance baselines, including cost, schedule, and quality metrics Coordinating project activities across internal departments and external contractors to ensure successful outcomes Managing project risks and opportunities, including the development and implementation of mitigation strategies Preparing business cases, technical documentation, and submissions to support project approvals Providing regular reporting and updates to stakeholders through weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews Acting as Control Account Manager (CAM) for assigned projects, with responsibility for financial oversight and performance Leading and supervising Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Project Administrators, including line management responsibilities Providing technical advice and support to the business on infrastructure planning and delivery matters About you Minimum 10+ years' experience in project management, ideally within the Defence Shipbuilding Sector Demonstrated experience leading infrastructure and plant/equipment design, installation, and maintenance within industrial or defence environments Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary facility upgrade projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring full legislative and safety compliance Strong project management skills, particularly within construction or project engineering contexts Ability to interpret organisational needs through effective communication with a diverse group of stakeholders Agility and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unforeseen events while maintaining delivery focus.
Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
