The Chief Sonographer will actively support Wollongong ICU staff specialists with development of a quality Critical Care Echocardiography and Point of Care Ultrasound Sound (POCUS) service. The Chief Sonographer will provide accurate and timely advice on operational and strategic matters particularly relating to clinical service development, compliance with relevant Medicare, ultrasound laboratory accreditation and medical record standards.
Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

Essential requirements
* Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Post graduate qualifications in medical ultrasound sufficient for Admission to the Australian Register of Accredited Medical Sonographers (ASAR)
* Current Class 1A NSW Security Licence
