Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Strategic Assets Analyst to join the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) within the Council.
The EPMO, within the Office of the CEO directorate, provides an enterprise-wide approach to identifying, prioritising, and delivering a portfolio of initiatives, projects and services that align with Council’s strategic and operational priorities. This position is a key technical role, undertaking activities that support and inform the sustainable management of Council’s asset portfolio and delivering insights to inform decision-making and asset outcomes for the City of Logan.

Salary: Stream A Level 6 (97k) to Level 7 (106k) + superannuation
Work type : Permanent full-time, 9-day fortnight

Position Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain asset management plans and procedures aligned with Council’s strategic priorities and contemporary standards.
- Guide and support the development of asset management plans, including renewal strategies, lifecycle modelling, and integration with broader organisational planning.
- Analyse asset management plans, data and information to produce whole-of-Council reports that inform infrastructure funding needs and prioritisation.
- Provide expert advice on asset management systems, business processes, and technological enhancements to stakeholders across the organisation.
- Lead and manage comprehensive asset management programs, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
- Health and Safety Accountabilities and Responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience delivering asset management improvements, initiatives, and plans.
- Experience within a public sector workplace, preferably within a local council (highly regarded).
- Highly effective time management skills, self-motivation with the ability to remain innovative under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise while working to demanding deadlines.
- Research skills and a demonstrated ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills to write and/or interpret business cases, reports, and other documentation.
- Sound problem-solving skills in a specialist/technical environment.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in relevant fields such as business management, project management, information management, engineering or similar (e.g. Bachelor of Business). Alternatively, equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- Credentials and/or certification in relevant fields desirable.
- Membership (or ability to attain) with relevant industry association or peak body (e.g. Asset Management Council).

- Level 6 starts at $97,353 + superannuation.
