Position: JV Volleyball Head Coach
Building: Mason High School / Mason Public Schools / In-Person
Reports to: Athletic Director

Job Summary
The JV Volleyball Head Coach leads and develops student-athletes by teaching fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a positive, competitive environment. This role includes planning practices, supporting athlete development, and collaborating with staff while serving as a strong role model.
Required Qualifications
* Must be at least 18 years old and a High School graduate
* Knowledge of coaching techniques and coaching psychology
* Basic knowledge of first aid training and training techniques
* Excellent character and ability to serve as a positive role model to student athletes
* Willing to work cooperatively in all aspects of our interscholastic athletic program
* Experience as a player and coach in this sport
Desired Qualifications
* Current First Aid Certification
* Current CPR Certification
* Verified internship under an experienced head coach or provide evidence demonstrating completion of the MHSAA program for Athletic Coaches Education
* Basic knowledge of prevention and care of athletic injuries
* Ability to relate well with students, parents, and school personnel
Job Description
* Responsible for all aspects of the coaching position.
* Committed to attend conferences or meetings to support the school district.
Physical Requirements
* This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
* This position requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
* Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with some travel to other schools.
Wage
* MDMEA members: 7% per Schedule B or $3,553
