Senior Solicitor Crime - AlburyTemporary full-timeLocation: AlburyLegal Officer Grade IV - $139,862 - $142,554 plus super & annual leave loading)About UsLegal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.About The RoleWe are seeking a solicitor to provide legal advice and representation to clients of Legal Aid NSW on a temporary basis. You can work remotely under flexible work arrangements except for agreed office days when you will be required to attend our office in Albury.The Main Responsibilities Of This Role IncludeMentoring and at times leading a team of legal officers in delivering timely, high-quality legal advice and complex casework services in accordance with Legal Aid NSW policies and guidelines.Monitoring developments in law and legal processes to ensure advice and casework remain relevant and up to date.Supporting and guiding staff in the provision of legal assistance to ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality legal services.About YouWe are looking for a lawyer with experience in criminal law who thrives in a fast paced team addressing criminal law issues.Ideally, you have experience wit h Early Appropriate Guilty Pleas (EAGP) matters, as well as Local and Children's Court District cases, ensuring you understand sector-specific challenges and legal processes.You are dedicated to quality assurance, ensuring that our team provides advice in line with Legal Aid NSW policies, guidelines, and practice management standards.Additionally, you have experience managing stakeholder relationships and a passion for supervising, mentoring, training, and developing junior solicitors.
