Reporting directly into the Chief Growth Officer, this executive leadership role will lead the strategic white-label partnerships with brands including Qantas, Coles Insurance, ING Bank and Budget Direct. About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Associate Director or Partnerships & Alliances is responsible for managing and growing strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on white label distribution models where Auto & General acts as an underwriter or partners with third-party underwriters and service providers.
- Develop and execute strategic priorities for partnerships and alliances to achieve business objectives.
- Negotiate and manage complex agreements with white-label partners and third-party providers.
- Oversee partner relationships and ensure contractual obligations are met. Current partnerships include Qantas, Coles Insurance and ING Bank.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams across Partner Management, Commercial, Operations, and Delivery.
- Drive growth and profitability across all partnerships and distribution models.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and operational excellence.
- Manage and optimise risk and control frameworks to maintain compliance and mitigate exposure.
- Act as Responsible Manager to meet ASIC regulatory requirements for white-label distribution.
- Protect and enhance A&G; and partner brand integrity across all channels and touchpoints.
About you:
You are a strategic leader with extensive experience in partnership management and a proven ability to deliver commercial outcomes through innovation and collaboration. You thrive in complex environments, influencing stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
- Minimum 10+ years of partnership management experience within the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders without formal authority.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Extensive experience managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution, and compliance.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with expertise in design thinking and process engineering.
- Proven ability to navigate complex commercial environments, legal frameworks, and compliance standards, with insurance industry experience highly regarded.
- Formal qualifications in Commerce, Finance, and/or Legal fields highly regarded.
- Meets qualification requirements to be an ASIC Registered Responsible Manager.
