Aohai Australia Pty Ltd operates large-scale livestock (cattle and sheep) and broadacre cropping operations across multiple agricultural properties in NSW. Our business manages livestock trading programs, cropping production, capital equipment planning and long-term farm development projects.

As our operations grow in financial and operational complexity, we are seeking a Financial Planning Adviser to strengthen our internal financial modelling, planning and performance analysis capabilities. A minimum of 1 years of relevant experience is required for this position. A Bachelor's degree is essential, and experience in agriculture or rural finance is highly regarded.


About the Role

This role focuses on internal financial planning, modelling and strategic analysis across our livestock and cropping operations. You will work closely with the director to support data-driven decision-making, operational evaluation and long-term planning for farm development and capital projects. The position involves analysing operational and financial data to support the long-term sustainability and profitability of the business.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop medium- and long-term financial plans for livestock, cropping and rural asset operations
* Prepare cashflow forecasts, profit projections and scenario modelling
* Assess financial implications of operational strategies and capital expenditure
* Analyse financial risks, cost structures, revenue drivers and operational performance
* Review commodity markets, livestock price trends and agricultural input-cost movements


Operational & Investment Evaluation

* Evaluate performance across livestock programs and cropping operations
* Conduct cost–benefit analyses for operational initiatives and major capital projects
* Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
* Review operational data and identify key performance trends


Reporting & Management Support

* Prepare management-level financial reports, planning documents and investment summaries
* Present financial insights and recommendations to the director
* Liaise with external accountants, suppliers and stakeholders as required
* Support planning for equipment investment, farm development and long-term capital programs


Site Visits for Operational Review

* Occasional travel to farm sites may be required to observe operational processes and gather information for financial forecasting and performance analysis


Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Agribusiness or a related field
* Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
* Minimum 1 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting or performance analysis
* Ability to interpret financial and operational data and present clear insights
* Experience in agriculture or asset-heavy industries is desirable
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
