What you'll be doing
The eMR Application Specialist (Architecture, Security and Core) is responsible for coordinating the management of system security and maintaining core technical components of the eMR including but not limited to Windows Terminal Server (WTS) Location, printing, 724 downtime viewers, interface testing. Other responsibilities include assisting in coordinating eMR code package installations and testing.
The position will be required to liaise with technical and other relevant Architecture, Security and Core team members for various projects and business as usual work undertaken in South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD). The incumbent will be working closely with the SWSLHD Patient Privacy Officers and Health Information Managers to maintain health information security for the District.
As part of the SWSLHD eMR Team this position provides support for a high availability system thus requiring support out of office hours occasionally/on a regular basis.
Although this position will be based at ICT Service, Liverpool Eastern Campus, there may be a requirement to work from other SWSLHD facilities to support projects and new eMR functionality, work with facility staff to support integrated solutions, printers and other hardware/devices and facilitate user acceptance testing.

1. Tertiary qualifications in Health, Information Management, Information Technology or equivalent work experience in eMR at senior level in health, specifically focused on clinical information systems management or information technology.
2. Proven experience in the development of health information management solutions and strategies in a large organisation.
3. Demonstrated understanding and ability to communicate and resolve complex patient information system problems in a technical systems environment, with expert knowledge of eMR modules that have been implemented in large public hospitals and how these modules are integrated within and outside of the eMR, and their inter-dependencies.
4. Experience in the use of information management principles and processes with demonstrated knowledge of current standards, statutory requirements and policies regarding privacy, security and other health information management requirements.
5. Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, stake holder management and communication skills that support the primary business function of a large organisation.
6. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines.
7. Demonstrated experience in problem identification, analysis and resolution in a complex multiuser clinical information system.
8. Proven ability to work independently and in a team as required.
9. Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
