About The Role
As a Production Supervisor at Fresh To Go Foods, you will be an integral part of our team, dedicated to crafting high-quality, ready-made wraps and sandwiches. This is a Full time position that offers a stable and friendly work environment. You will be joining a team that values precision, speed, and quality in food production. Our team is passionate about exceeding the standards of convenience food, ensuring every hand-made meal is created to perfection.
What you'll do
1. Assign location of production staff during production
2. Ensure that all production staff comply with the company dress code
3. Ensure that all FTG procedures, specifications, and policies are adhered to at all times
4. Communicate with staff to ensure that all relevant information is relayed effectively and consistently
5. Ensure all customer deadlines and specifications are met at all times and notify of any exceptions
6. Ensure products are being made according to their recipes/specifications
7. Check that all ingredients and packaging have been stored in correct locations and in an orderly fashion
8. Ensure labels are correct, accurate, and up to date
9. Carry out daily quality GMP checks
10. Ensure lines are set up and sanitized
11. Ensure cleanliness of factory and office at end of day
12. Ensure belts and floor are cleaned and food put away and rubbish removed at regular intervals and before breaks
13. Some heavy lifting required
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Production Supervisor role should have:
1. Proven ability to lead and coach team members
2. The ability to provide clear orders and instructions to team members
3. Food processing experience, machine operating, and knife skills
4. Comfort working in a cold environment
5. Initiative to seek out work with limited directions, strong attention to detail
6. Knowledge of hygiene, food safety procedures, HACCP principles, and procedures
7. Knowledge of quality assurance systems and continuous improvement principles
8. Proven time management skills
9. Ability to develop and see through continuous improvement projects
10. Reliability, commitment, and a strong work ethic
