Roofing Technician
To deliver exceptional roofing services, we are seeking an experienced Roof Tiler to take on this key role.
* Examine construction plans and site details to accurately estimate the type and quantity of roofing materials required.
* Set up and position scaffolding and access equipment to ensure safe working at heights.
* Apply protective underlays and moisture barriers before laying tiles.
* Lay roof tiles in consistent rows to achieve a level, weather-resistant surface.
* Trim and shape tiles to fit precisely around skylights, chimneys, ridges, and other roof features.
* Secure ridge cappings and edge sections with mortar to strengthen and finish the roofline.
* Install roofing sheets beneath flashings and overlapping joints for enhanced protection.
* Seal and finish exposed areas to prevent leaks and ensure the long-term durability of the roof.
Requirements
* Hold a qualification in tiling or have completed a recognized apprenticeship program, along with a valid White Card.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and provide a high-quality service to clients.
* Be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a positive attitude.
* Work well under pressure and be supportive within a team environment.
* Fluently speak, read, and write in English.
