Your New Role
As a Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in advancing nursing education and practice within Metro South Palliative Care Service (MSPCS). You will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of nursing education programs.
Develop and deliver evidence-based educational frameworks and training programs to support nurses at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Collaborate with nursing leadership and healthcare teams to align education and clinical practice with strategic goals and regulatory standards, including NMBA requirements.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and support clinical governance by coordinating clinical practice standards, policies, and performance indicators.
About you:
You are an experienced, proactive nurse educator with advanced clinical expertise, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to delivering high-quality palliative care education.
Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and a tertiary qualification in nursing; postgraduate qualifications in education or specialty nursing are highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing education programs within a clinical setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of building collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
