Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Employment Support Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with supported employees to promote their skills and work attribute development.
You will be responsible for the onboarding of supported employees, wage assessments, skill development planning, and providing a safety focus in a commercially productive employment environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with supported employees on how to promote their skills and work attributes, then translate that into goal setting.
* Maintain awareness of positive behaviour support planning, processes, and implementation.
* Maintain professional associations and actively promote genU through community involvement.
* Follow safety processes and procedures and communicate those details to supported employees.
* Maintain current information on the document management system.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* The ability to understand and empower supported employees, and help them learn and grow to lead the way in their lives.
* A continuous improvement mindset - always looking for new ways to do things in supporting the growth of employees' work skills and attributes.
* Strong administration skills, experience using document management systems.
(You will also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)
