We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in Chatswood. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end-to-end full function of accounts payable for timely processing of government grant and general vendor payments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all financial policies and procedures. You will also manage over 150 monthly rentals of leased office locations across the business and contribute to an AP automation project as well as the smooth end-of-year and month-end close.
Responsibilities
 * End-to-end accounts payable processing for government grants and vendor payments
 * Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies and procedures
 * Manage over 150 monthly office lease rentals
 * Be an integral part of an accounts payable automation project
 * Contribute to smooth and effective month-end and year-end close
Qualifications
 * Proven experience in a dedicated accounts payable role, preferably in a medium to large organisation
 * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or other large ERP accounting systems is advantageous
 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
 * Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or related field is desirable
A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory prior to commencement. Successful candidates must set up a myGovID to access Government data aligned to the role.
Who are you?
To be successful, you must have a minimum of five years of experience in a dedicated accounts payable position, hands-on experience with AP financial systems, exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and solid understanding of accounting principles. You should be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
