The role
We are looking for an Arts and Music Administrator to plan, organise, coordinate and promote artistic and cultural policies, programs and services. You will manage their music repertoire, develop relationships with artists and cultural organisations, and ensure their catalogue operations align with industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
* Lead the team managing daily workflow, performance oversight and staff development
* Plan and develop artistic and cultural policies and programs for music repertoire management
* Negotiate with artists, songwriters, composers and performers regarding contracts and agreements
* Collaborate with sub-publishers, global affiliates and cultural organisations to streamline processes
* Oversee catalogue maintenance, agreement data and registrations across collection societies
* Act as senior point of contact for complex enquiries from writers, local collection societies, international partners
* Oversee international licensing arrangements, including sub-publishing relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in Music Business Management, Arts Administration or related field
* At least three (3) years of recent experience in music publishing, arts administration or cultural management
* Demonstrated success managing artistic repertoire and leading teams
* Strong knowledge of music industry structures, artist agreements and cultural policies
* Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills with artists and cultural organisations
* Proven ability to manage budgets and financial records
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* High level of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical thinking
* Ability to work with limited supervision and lead team operations
