The role of Principal Lawyer Lead is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to take on a leadership position and drive high-quality legal services across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in litigation, preferably in government and administrative law, and possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality legal services while fostering growth and expertise within the legal team
* Mentor and develop lawyers, with experience in a similar role preferred
* Provide strategic legal advice and influence service delivery to support the integrity and success of the organization
Candidate Attributes:
* Demonstrated high-level litigation experience
* Ability to lead and develop lawyers, and mentor other legal practitioners
* Proven capacity to appear as an advocate, analyse complex legal and factual issues, and draft complex legal advice
* Strong interpersonal skills with high competency in written and oral communications
Mandatory Requirements:
* Admitted as a Solicitor or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland
* Holding a current practicing certificate issued by the Queensland Law Society or Queensland Bar Association
* Fully compliant with all CPD requirements of the Queensland Law Society or Queensland Bar Association
