An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Allied Health Services as a Service Manager (BreastScreen). You will manage staff's involvement in health promotion, customer services, data collection and quality improvement. You will be providing high level advice to key stakeholders on BrestScreen Queensland policy and protocols while meeting the national accreditation standards and achieving local and statewide screening targets.
About us:
As the Service Manager (BreastScreen) you will work closely with the Clinical Director, provide leadership in the overall management and strategic planning of BreastScreen Queensland Cairns Service within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. You will be representing the service at State-wide Manager/Director meetings, State-wide working parties, Cairns BreastScreen Consumer Forum, and other meetings, workshops and focus groups.
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.

About your role:
* You will be overseeing the service budget and work closely with the Business Support Unit to perform all key budget and business functions.
* Utilise high level communication skills, including consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, to advocate with stakeholders for resources to provide screening and assessment services for the Cairns BreastScreen Service catchment.
* Provide high level advice to key stakeholders on BreastScreen Queensland Policy and Protocols; National Accreditation BreastScreen Australia Standards Quality of the Improvement Program; strategic opportunities; screening and assessment status, targets and trends, and funding methodology.
