Fgf is one of Far North Queensland's leading contracting groups, spanning civil construction, asphalt and bitumen sealing services, quarrying, and waste management.
Located just outside of Kuranda, Top Rock Quarry is a registered hard rock quarry supplying a variety of materials including crushed fill, drainage rock, road base and aggregates.
The opportunity
As a key member of our quarry team, you will be responsible for the daily productivity of our crushing and screening facilities. Working closely with the Quarry Supervisor you will operate a variety of fixed and mobile plant, including the occasional delivery of material to fgf clients and project sites.
This is a casual role with consistent full-time hours, overtime as required (at penalty rates), and an opportunity to convert to permanent employment for the right candidate.
What you will bring to the role
* Minimum of three (3) years' quarry experience
* Experience with mobile crushing and screening equipment
* Experience operating a front-end loader and excavator in a crushing environment
* RIIMPO machinery and crushing tickets
* HR, HC or MC heavy vehicle truck licence, with previous driving experience (preferred)
* General Safety Induction (blue/white card)
* Effective communication skills
* Self-driven with a positive attitude
* Committed to achieving a healthy and safe work environment
