The Role
">
We are seeking a creative and personable Art Therapist for a fixed term, full time opportunity. You will use art-based techniques in the assessment and support of individuals and groups, including drawing, painting, sculpture, all forms of cultural expression, and mixed media.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide high quality art therapy approaches and techniques in accordance with professional, ethical and National Standards.
">
* Draw upon your experiences of culture as this relates to specific groups in the community to inform your work.
">
* Encourage individual creative expression, including the development of reflection skills upon their creative outputs.
">
* Build capacity of people accessing the service, support partners and multidisciplinary teams, and provide appropriate training to support staff.
">
* Work collaboratively and cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary and interprofessional team.
">

Requirements
">
To be successful in this role, you will need:
">
">
* Tertiary qualifications in Art Therapy.
">
* Able to obtain registration with ANZACATA through post graduate studies.
">
* Ability to utilise community language/s in your work with people accessing the Local, community groups, community leaders and other stakeholders.
">
* Experience and expertise in working directly with people with mental health challenges, AOD challenges, complex needs and with their families, carers and supporters.
">
* A strong knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of psychotherapy and the role that art or expressive and somatic therapy can play in treatment.
">
