About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our family medical practice. This role is offered on a four-day-per-week basis. The 4-day schedule will be worked on flexible days of the week to be agreed upon.
As the Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the GPs, Allied health and reception team, ensuring smooth administrative and operational workflows while maintaining a high level of patient care and service.
This role provides an opportunity to help shape the practice's continued success and growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the practice, ensuring efficient and smooth workflows
* Staff management including rostering, training, and team support
* Handling patient and staff queries with professionalism and empathy
* Medicare billing oversight and ensuring compliance with current regulations
* Management of accounts, payroll coordination, and liaison with bookkeepers/accountants
* Ensuring accreditation standards and policy updates are maintained
* Implementing and managing Best Practice Software processes and updates
* General administrative duties including working at reception and support to the clinical team
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Experience with Best Practice software (essential)
* Intermediate user-level proficiency in Best Practice software is required
* A background as a Senior Medical Receptionist in a GP clinic, or current experience as a Practice Manager. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in GP clinic practice management or senior medical reception roles is required
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
* A proactive and professional attitude
* Knowledge of Medicare billing processes and general practice compliance standards
* Familiarity with Hotdoc, Cubiko, and digital health initiatives is desirable
* Australian work rights are required for this position
