Assistant Store Manager

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager with high energy and a demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction to assist the Store Manager at our Kawana store.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure excellence in customer service as the #1 priority
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety and store cleanliness
• Open and close the store
• Train, supervise, mentor and coach team members
• Prepare coffee
• Manage stock including rotation, quality assurance and minimising wastage
• Implement operational policies and back‐office administration
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health & Safety and Food Safety
• Promote a positive workplace that encourages team members to grow, be challenged and have fun

Essential Skills & Attributes

• Available to work weekends and school hours
• Minimum of 2 years previous food service experience (preferred)
• Customer‐service focused with ability to engage new customers and foster returning customer relationships
• Highly organised with great time management and communication skills
• Self‐motivated, flexible, reliable and honest
• Ability to build strong relationships within the store team, greater network, customers, suppliers and contractors
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team and lead by example
• Willingness and ability to strive for and achieve store Key Performance Indicators

Schedule & Working Hours

• 8‐hour shift
• Afternoon shift, Day shift, Evening shift, Morning shift
• Rotating roster covering Monday to Friday, public holidays and weekends (working every second weekend)
• Shifts from 4am to 8pm
• Transport required due to early morning start times

Requirements

• Food service experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Leadership/management experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Retail experience: 1 year (preferred)
• English language proficiency (required)
• Valid driver's licence (required)
• Australian work authorisation (required)
