Job Description
The purpose of this role is to provide support and guidance to leaders, teachers, and education assistants in schools to effectively cater to students with diverse learning needs.
This involves promoting the Diocese of Armidale Core Catholic Principles and Values, consulting with teachers on relevant teaching strategies, and advising on individual and group intervention. Additionally, the role entails collaborating with learning support personnel, providing professional development, and ensuring compliance with student support programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Advise on relevant teaching and learning strategies for students with diverse learning needs.
2. Collaborate with learning support personnel to develop effective interventions.
3. Provide case management support and assistance to other agencies.
4. Support schools in analyzing system and school data related to diverse learning needs.
5. Prepare reports on the progress of students with diverse learning needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Recognised formal qualifications in the field of education.
* Experience working in schools or with multidisciplinary teams.
* Demonstrated effective communication skills.
* Highly developed skills in the use of technology and assistive technology options.
