About the role
Leads strategic communications and consumer engagement for CaFHS, strengthening community participation and organisational reputation. Provides expert advice, drives engagement initiatives, and builds workforce capability to support person‐and family‐centred care and improved health outcomes.
Key duties of the role
9. Support and coordinate the CaFHS Consumer Advisory Committee and ensure meaningful participation in the co‐design of CaFHS strategies and service improvements.
10. Lead, plan, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate strategic internal and external communication and engagement plans.
11. Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with consumers, staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
12. Initiate and manage quality improvement priorities across consumer engagement, communication, and training functions.
13. Develop and foster a positive work culture that reflects WCHN values, supports staff wellbeing, and encourages innovation, learning, and inclusive practice.
Skills and Experience
14. Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and ability to effectively establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
15. Demonstrated experience in the development, administration, management, supervision, and delivery of training and education.
16. Proven ability to lead strategic communication and consumer engagement planning, including managing change processes and adapting approaches to shifting priorities.
17. High‐level written and verbal communication skills, with sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential issues effectively.
