Overview
We are looking for a Library Branch Supervisor to lead our vibrant City Library. Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced library professional to lead the team at our City Library located in the heart of Shellharbour. This role supports our dynamic and innovative staff in providing a welcoming library experience and promotes all that our libraries have to offer. You will manage the daily operations of City Library and work collaboratively within the Libraries & Museum team to deliver inspiring programs and leading-edge libraries for our community and customers.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage daily operations of City Library and supervise library staff within a dynamic team environment.
* Collaborate with the Libraries & Museum team to deliver inspiring programs and services for the community.
* Foster a welcoming library experience and promote the full range of library offerings.
Qualifications
* Library Diploma or equivalent qualification, with a solid foundation in library and information services.
* Customer-centric experience in customer-facing roles, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
* Experience in the delivery of library services.
* Advanced digital literacy across devices, platforms, apps, and software; able to support customers navigating technology.
* Team leadership experience, including supervising, mentoring, and developing staff in a dynamic environment.

* Permanent full time 35 hours per week with flexitime and a 7-day roster including evenings and weekends
* Commencing salary range from $70,725 - $73,583 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
