Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range A$130,000.00/yr - A$180,000.00/yrAbout the Role Reporting to the Group Quality Manager, the Head of Quality will oversee all aspects of site quality assurance, leading the QA team and ensuring full compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
You'll play a key role in managing audits, driving continuous improvement, and supporting product integrity from raw materials through to finished goods.Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the site QA team to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification standards (HACCP, BRC, SQF, etc.)Maintain and improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS)Manage internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness at all timesInvestigate non-conformances, oversee root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiencyLiaise with production, technical, and customer teams to ensure alignment on quality expectationsAbout You Degree qualified in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline – essentialExtensive QA leadership experience in a high-care manufacturing environment (e.g. chilled foods, dairy, fresh produce, ready meals)In-depth knowledge of quality systems, food safety legislation, and customer standardsDemonstrated success managing audits and maintaining third-party certificationsStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsHands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to work cross-functionallyWhy Join Us?
