We're looking for a skilled Account Management Specialist to join our team.
The Account Management Specialist is responsible for the management of patient accounts, including the creation and issue of patient estimates, generation of invoices, receipting and debt collection. This role provides support to Clinicians by ensuring patients are fully informed of the billing system and the funding mechanisms of Medicare and the relevant private health funds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing patient accounts across multiple disciplines, including the creation and issue of patient estimates, generation of invoices, receipting and debt collection
* Effectively communicate the treatment fee structure and attend to patient account enquiries in a friendly and timely manner
* Providing support to Clinicians by ensuring patients are fully informed of the billing system and the funding mechanisms of Medicare and the relevant private health funds.
* Ensure debtors are managed effectively and in line with the Debtors Management policy & procedure.
* Work Co-operatively within a multidisciplinary team, exchange information and assist other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes.
Requirements:
* Medical accounts processing skills including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health funds.
* Demonstrated ability in using clinical administration systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
* A Flexible and motivated individual, with strong organisational skills.
* Demonstrated understanding of and an ability to provide excellent customer service in a healthcare environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external business stakeholders.
* Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
* Proven experience to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
