Are you an experienced Physiotherapist looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? We are seeking a motivated Senior Community Physiotherapist to join our Primary Health North team, providing high‐quality, client‐centred care to people living across the region.

The Team:

The Community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS) Physiotherapist works within the Community Physiotherapy team the Tasmanian Health Service. It delivers accessible, evidence-based physiotherapy services to support the health, function, and independence of people across the community, including those with chronic conditions, frailty, and focusses on hospital avoidance interventions. The team works across community clinics, and clients' homes to assess, plan, and implement individualised treatment programs, provide education and self‐management strategies, and support carers and families. The ComRRS physiotherapists collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, including nursing, medical, social work, and occupational therapist, to ensure coordinated, person‐centred care that aligns with broader DoH service priorities, safety and quality frameworks, and equity of access. Through clinical leadership, service development, and quality improvement activities, the team contributes to strengthening community‐based care, reducing hospital demand, and improving health outcomes for Tasmanian communities.

The role:

Within a Departmental Framework, and in accordance with Agency policy and procedures and professional code of conduct, the focus of the Senior Community Physiotherapist is to:

* Be responsible for the efficient and effective provision of physiotherapy services to clients in the service location.
* In consultation with the Team Leader – Community Physiotherapy, maintain physiotherapy services in Primary Health sites including supervision and support of staff and students.
* Contribute to health promotion within the community.
* Participate in relevant quality improvement activities to ensure safe and effective delivery of client care.
* Ensure that client care is provided collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team across relevant areas of the northern region of Tasmania as required.

Primary Health North Community Physiotherapy Team:

* Being integral to the Community Rapid Response Team and implementing hospital avoidance strategies.
* Working within a larger multidisciplinary team, but autonomy in the role on site
* Working at a variety of Primary Health North sites with challenging caseloads with good variety.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, from as soon as we can onboard you until 8 January 2026.

Position Features: Some travel within the region will be required.

Salary:$110,425 to $121,907 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
