The Gig Be across HSE delivery as a Senior Advisor, supporting the HQ Yard, team and projects based out of Port Macquarie. Working across both site and workshop environments, you’ll support the day-to-day application of safety and environmental systems, ensuring work aligns with requirements and risks are managed properly. You’ll be involved in everything from inspections and audits through to incident response and follow-up actions. Across different work fronts, you’ll stay close to how work is being carried out, identifying risks early and supporting teams to address them before they escalate. It’s about being visible, approachable, and practical in how safety is managed on the ground. You’ll work closely with supervisors, project teams, and contractors, helping guide safe work practices, supporting risk assessments, and contributing to a positive safety culture across the business. Risk awareness and practical safety application sits at its core. Your ability to stay across detail, influence behaviours, and support teams on the ground will drive strong outcomes. You’ll Be Trusted With: Supporting safe work practices across site and operational environments Leading or assisting with incident investigations and follow-up actions Carrying out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across projects Supporting development and review of SWMS, JSEAs, and risk controls Working with supervisors and teams to identify and reduce risks early Supporting HSE reporting, data tracking, and performance monitoring Contributing to safety meetings, workshops, and team engagement activities Assisting with environmental controls and minimising operational impacts Supporting internal systems and processes with a focus on continuous improvement Providing guidance to less experienced team members where required What’s In Your Toolbox? Around 5 years’ experience in a HSE role within construction, infrastructure, or similar environments Strong understanding of risk management, site safety, and compliance requirements Experience supporting or leading incident investigations and corrective actions Confidence working directly with site teams and influencing safe work behaviours Exposure to environmental or occupational health considerations would be beneficial Relevant HSE qualifications and a practical, hands-on approach to safety You’re the kind of person who prefers being out where the work is happening, not stuck behind a desk.
