About The Opportunity
We’re seeking a dynamic engineering leader to drive stormwater and Integrated Water Management projects. You’ll guide a skilled technical team, provide expert advice on development and planning matters and help shape Council’s key engineering policies and standards.
You’ll also manage community enquiries on drainage issues and ensure practical, timely solutions. If you’re a collaborative leader with strong technical skills and a passion for delivering quality outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
What You Will Bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
Degree in Engineering permitting membership of Engineers Australia with relevant experience or extensive experience in civil engineering design and construction works with minimal formal knowledge of best practice stormwater management, Integrated Water Management (IWM) principles and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) principles.Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a diverse technical team.Significant experience in development approval process including the assessment of development applications, planning proposals, masterplans, and major residential and commercial developments.Experience in customer service and ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge and ability to operate a range of complex engineering software, including high competency with databases and spread sheets.Current Police Check or willing to obtainA current Driver’s Licence.
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within Band 7 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $104,988.52 to $117,480.48 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
