What you'll be doing:
In this role, you will provide essential frontline administrative support to the Western Border Rural Fire District, working closely with local NSW RFS volunteers to help deliver vital emergency services to the community. As the first point of contact for the District Office, you will manage enquiries from staff, volunteers, the public and community organisations, ensuring timely and professional responses. Your duties will primarily include volunteer membership enquiries and application management, accurate record keeping, purchasing and invoicing, inbox management, and supporting a variety of brigade and district events. During periods of heightened operational activity, you will play a key role in supporting District leaders and staff to ensure smooth and effective operations.
You will work in a small team to support 3 Operational Officers and the District Manager.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
* A passion for delivering high-quality administrative support and a willingness to assist during operational activities.
* Strong administrative skills, including experience with records management systems such as HPE CM, and enterprise software such as SAP, and purchasing through Coupa.
* An understanding of the emergency services environment, particularly in working with a large and diverse volunteer workforce.
