Ambrose Construct Group is one of Australia's leading insurance building specialists. We're seeking a motivated Estimator to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone with strong trade experience who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and delivering quality results for customers.
About the Role
As an Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing detailed scopes of work, accurate costings, and managing repairs within set timeframes. You'll liaise closely with our Head Office team and clients to ensure every project runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare scopes of work and accurate estimates within required timeframes.
* Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
* Manage cost control to ensure financial viability without compromising quality.
* Ensure compliance with Australian Building Codes and local standards.
* Maintain accurate data entry across internal and client systems.
* Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain clear communication.
* Safeguard customer homes and maintain a professional approach on all worksites.
* Promote company initiatives and additional services when appropriate.
* Ensure correct and safe use of company vehicles, tools, and PPE.
* Follow all WHS and environmental policies and procedures.
About You
* Full and valid driver's licence.
* Trade qualification (carpentry preferred).
* White Card.
* Hands-on experience with carpentry, plastering, or painting repairs.
* Experience working in occupied or vacant residential properties.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Can-do attitude and willingness to adapt to change.
* Experience within insurance or responsive maintenance (desirable).
* Confidence using mobile technology for reporting and communication.
Physical Requirements
* Frequent driving to residential sites.
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
* Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks and using tools safely.
