As a skilled support professional, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Your role will be to provide exceptional service while supporting clients to meet their goals as set out in their NDIS plan.
This may involve intensive, flexible, and responsive client-focused support to assist clients in successfully improving their physical and mental health. You will also have the initiative to plan client's activities and other social outings, develop connections with the community, and achieve their goals.
You will be required to assist clients with daily living tasks, domestic assistance, social support, transport, community outings, and more. A valid Australian driver's license and own car are essential for this role. Comprehensive Car Insurance and a current NDIA Workers Screening Check (Service NSW) are also necessary.
A comprehensive understanding of Manual Handling, managing challenging behaviours, and delivering high-care support is crucial for this position. Previous experience in Disability Support or Assistant in Nursing (AIN) is highly regarded. Fluency in English and strong interpersonal skills are also essential.
