The Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Customer Offer Support, the Category Support Project Lead will lead convenience projects within the Category Support function, improving ways of working, implementing efficiency opportunities, and embedding a strategy for continuous improvement across both the BCC team and store processes.
Responsibilities
Position Summary
This role will engage with multiple stakeholders to deliver effective change and increase system effectiveness for product, pricing, promotions, and ticketing at sites. The Category Support Project Lead will champion opportunities to boost accuracy and efficiency, introduce innovative working practices, and continuously improve business processes, simplifying tasks for Store Support Centre (SSC) and Site teams.
You will provide:
* Develop and implement project workstreams to improve efficiency and accuracy across OTR Group brands.
* Create processes for product life cycle management that automate data flow and minimise errors.
* Build and embed a culture of continuous improvement supporting Category Support and Site teams.
* Engage with stakeholders across Convenience, Supply Chain, Range & Space, IT, and Finance to deliver initiatives.
* Represent Customer Offer Support in working groups for key strategic business transformation projects.
* Lead communication with product-for-resale suppliers, ensuring effective engagement on system/data requirements.
* Facilitate EDI connectivity between vendors and the business, simplifying processes for stores.
* Collaborate with central and site operations to learn from execution and drive process improvements.
* Continuously improve tools and processes through cross-functional collaboration.

About You
* Proven analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
* Ability to thrive in environments with a high level of change; agility and adaptability essential.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver projects and reset ways of working.
* Ability to prioritise activities amidst competing demands.
* Capability to understand complex systems and translate them into clear actions for teams.
* Ability to train team members to develop skills and implement new processes.
* Solid knowledge of retail operations across sites and SSC.
* Familiarity with site/merchandise processes, procedures, and systems.
* Advanced PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; basic project management skills desirable.
* Track record of building relationships based on open, transparent, and fair dealings.
