**How will I help?**
Responsible for the end-to-end operations and strategic development of Core Banking technology at Westpac.
This is a senior Technology leadership role in a Team aligned to the Retail and Commercial banking business at Westpac, accountable for leadership and development of the Group's core banking platforms.
This role is focused on the development of new capabilities in digital, data and integration that will modernise core banking and affect a strategic shift to modular ("open") banking across Westpac and St George brands. The role reports into a broader Head of Technology role and leads a team partnering the Everyday Banking business in strategy and planning, technology architecture, and Project/Programme delivery
You will provide thought leadership to optimise the digital experience for Customers, enhance data & analytics and lead a transformation to a modernised microservice enabled core banking ecosystem. You will partner key stakeholders across the Groups' Technology function and other Westpac lines of business (LOBs) to drive Technology change. You will help embed Westpac's "new ways of working", a groupwide transformation initiative embedding agile practices and integrated business/IT team autonomy.
Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Contribution to quarterly planning and results measurement business cycles (known as "QBRs" or "quarterly business reviews" and "objectives/key results" or "OKR's" processes)
- Managing cross-team dependencies and delivery, with a focus on collaboration and agile
- Effective management of suppliers, vendors, and 3rd party partnersPeople development including coaching and development, fostering an engaged workforce by role modelling Westpac's values and behaviours

**What do I need?**
- Commercial acumen and consulting skills, excellent collaboration and communication.
- Experience in Digital platform strategies, API/microservices engineering and open banking ideal.
- Experience in strategy & architecture incorporating technology roadmaps/planning, solutioning, innovation.Agile (working in an agile environment and/or driving agile adoption).
