* $133,944.00 per annum + 12% superannuation
* Full time, fixed term opportunity (until 17/04/2026)
* Wadawurrung/Geelong based role (hybrid work from home – 3 days a week in office)
Part time will also be considered for this position (Minimum 0.7 FTE)
About the opportunity
Our Marketing teams deliver marketing and communication activities to increase community awareness of health and safety, encourage behaviour change of employers and employees and leverage the influence of our partners, clients and the community. In using social marketing principles and a range of marketing and communications techniques our primary services are marketing campaigns, tactical communications, brand and design.
As the Senior Marketing Communications Advisor, you will work collaboratively with the business to plan, develop, implement and evaluate marketing communications (marcomms) strategies and campaigns which support business objectives.
This position presents an exciting marcomms opportunity to work on the delivery of behavioural change marketing campaigns across a number of our key sector portfolios and enjoy the commitment and support from a variety of stakeholder groups.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide proactive and responsive strategic and tactical marcomms advice, identifying and managing reputational issues, risks and opportunities.
* Work collaboratively with clients and the research management team to fully understand initiatives, issues and implications, and ensure communications support business objectives in line with WorkSafe's values.
* Manage project resources to provide support to deliver high quality marketing communications advice and activities across a range of projects to the business units.
* Look for opportunities to improve communications tools and channels, including building communications capability within WorkSafe.
* Plan, develop, implement and evaluate targeted 'through–the–line', evidence–based marcomms campaigns in line with business objectives and priorities including behaviour change, awareness and promotional campaigns.
* Manage external suppliers such as creative, media buying, graphic design, print and direct marketing agencies to ensure delivery of marketing and communications activities

About you
You will be an experienced marcomms advisor whose strengths include your experience on the concluding processes and implementation phase of campaigns. You will also be a strong team player with a passion for supporting, coaching and mentoring others.
Your verbal and written communications skills will allow you to communicate complex messaging effectively to a range of audiences and your negotiation and influencing skills will allow you to support leadership decision making and deliver outcomes.
Skills and experience
* Ability to synthesise complex material and issues to develop a clear strategic direction supported by key messages and an appropriate mix of marcomms channels and activities.
* Experience in identifying risks or non-compliance and escalate recommendations.
* Strong command of marketing communication techniques and knowledge of managing multi channels marketing communication activities.
* Proven experience in managing marketing communication campaigns
* Strong ability to plan and manage workflow and budget, with excellent attention to detail
* High social awareness – ability to understand motivational drivers of different audiences and demonstrate an understanding of both business and communication needs
* High level of knowledge and expertise in the systems and regulations governing the function, and of the industry and discipline.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or related field.
