This role sits within our Sales division and works closely with builders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure we are a trusted, reliable, and value-adding partner across the residential build process.

We're seeking a well-connected residential sales professional who understands how builders operate, has established relationships in the residential market, and has a strong understanding of contracting and site-based delivery. This role is ideal for someone currently working in the residential construction space who thrives on relationship management, commercial outcomes, and practical problem-solving.


About the Role

As part of the Sales division, you will take ownership of key residential builder accounts while supporting broader sales objectives across the business. Working closely with the Sales Manager, Branch Managers, and operational teams, you'll ensure customers receive consistent service, competitive pricing, and dependable delivery, while identifying opportunities to grow our multi-product offering.

You'll be responsible for:

* Managing and growing key residential builder accounts and maintaining strong, trusted relationships
* Achieving sales, retention, penetration, and acquisition targets set by the Sales Manager
* Acting as the primary point of contact for builders, proactively managing service delivery and issue resolution
* Supporting customer strategy, pricing reviews, and the implementation of price increases
* Identifying new builder and developer opportunities aligned with strategic direction and branch capacity
* Working closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure site expectations, timelines, and quality standards are met
* Conducting customer and competitor analysis to forecast demand and contractor requirements
* Partnering with the Sales Manager to develop and execute action plans for key customers and multi-product opportunities
* Collaborating with Credit, NEP, Compliance, and Branch Managers on pricing, credit terms, and compliance matters
* Analysing sales performance, margins, and quoting accuracy to minimise financial risk
* Assisting with contractor and trade recruitment as requiredPromoting a strong safety culture and adherence to WH&S policies and procedures
* Demonstrating a commitment to Stoddart Group's core values
* Some travel may be required.


What We're Looking For

You'll succeed in this role if you bring:

* Current experience in the residential construction or building supply market
* Established relationships with residential builders and a strong industry network
* A practical understanding of contracting, site coordination, and build sequencing
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage pricing and margins
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong accountability
* A working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC)
* Confidence engaging with stakeholders across multiple teams and locations
* Strong technology and systems capability
* A trade background or hands-on site experience will be highly regarded.
