Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact:
* Post-secondary (B.Sc. or higher) degree in chemistry, geology or environmental/earth science, with a background in geochemistry, hydrogeochemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, mining engineering or similar.
* Proven level of technical expertise within geochemistry / hydrogeochemistry and have a working understanding of regulatory requirements in Australia, geochemical risks during construction, operation & closure across mining and renewables projects.
* Experience in geochemical and water quality modelling, including being proficient in the use of industry software such as GoldSim, Geochemist Workbench, PHREEQC or Excel/VBA and desire to continue to develop these skills.
* A passion for mentoring our early career specialists, providing support, training and guidance on projects.
* An interest in client liaison and project management and an appreciation for the need to be working to deadlines and within agreed budgets.
* Track record in producing high quality technical reports and an ability to communicate complex scientific results and concepts to a wider, non-technical audience.
* Respect – you listen and understand other’s views and work together to create opportunities for all.
* Integrity - you do what is right for your stakeholders to deliver what is true as opposed to popular.
* Humility - you understand the strength of humility and that no one is bigger than the team.
