Electronic Security Technician – Install, Service & Projects
Australian Security Company (ASC) has been protecting Australian businesses for over 40 years and is continuing to grow. We are looking for an experienced Electronic Security Technician / Locksmith to join our in-house team and deliver work across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, and national client projects as required.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants more than repetitive day-to-day service work. You will be involved in quality installs, service, maintenance, upgrades and larger project delivery across a wide range of systems and sites.
What you will be working on
* CCTV, alarms, access control, intercom, duress and integrated security systems
* Fitting of door hardware, including:
o electric strikes
o mag locks
o locksets, closers and exit hardware
o access control hardware integration
* Commercial, government, industrial and multi-site environments
* Leading brands including Inner Range, Tecom, Hanwha, Avigilon, Gallagher and similar systems
Key responsibilities
* Install, commission and service electronic security systems to ASC standards
* Fault-find and resolve issues across CCTV, alarms, access control and intercom
* Install and replace electric strikes, mag locks and associated door hardware
* Complete preventative maintenance, upgrades and system optimisation
* Read plans and specifications, verify scope and raise issues early
* Assist with testing, commissioning, documentation and handover
* Maintain professional client communication on site
* Support apprentices and junior staff where required
What we are looking for
* Proven experience in electronic security installation and servicing
* Experience fitting electric strikes, mag locks and door hardware
* Strong fault-finding ability and quality-first mindset
* Good understanding of IP/network basics and integrated systems
* Someone reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
Licences / tickets
* QLD Security Licence
* Cabling registration
* White Card
* Blue Card, or willingness to obtain
* Driver's licence
* EWP and other relevant tickets are an advantage
