We're looking for a commercially sharp, relationship‐first Account Manager to grow our presence across New South Wales — someone who understands the region, knows how customers operate, and can turn opportunities into long‐term partnerships.
About the Role
Based in Sydney, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities and creating practical transport and logistics solutions for customers.
As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and winning new business opportunities, building strong customer partnerships, and delivering tailored freight and logistics solutions across our integrated network.
You'll work closely with our operational and customer service teams to protect existing accounts, grow share of wallet, and develop new business within the market – while ensuring customers receive the high level of service Strait Link is known for. This role offers genuine impact, autonomy, and the opportunity to help shape Strait Link's ongoing growth in a fast‐paced logistics environment.
What you'll be doing
* Protecting and growing an existing portfolio of customer accounts.
* Building, managing, and developing strong long‐term relationships across your portfolio.
* Identifying growth and share‐of‐wallet opportunities.
* Proactively identify and securing new business within your market.
* Working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver customer solutions.
* Monitoring performance, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement.
About You
You're a relationship‐driven sales professional who understands the realities of logistics and transport.
* You're commercially astute and confident negotiating for sustainable, long‐term value.
* You understand freight, transport, and warehousing operations and can translate customer needs into deliverable solutions.
* You're organised, responsive, and highly reliable.
* You remain calm, resilient, and solution‐focused when challenges arise.
* You see service issues as opportunities to strengthen customer relationships.
* You enjoy being the trusted, go‐to contact for your customers.
* You're comfortable using systems and data to track performance and results.
Experience required
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales or account management role.
* Transport and logistics experience highly regarded but not essential.
