Position Summary
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician (Shift), your role within the team is to undertake preventative and corrective maintenance on a baggage handling system incorporating automated storage cranes and specialised transport systems. This is a full‐time on‐site role incorporating 12‐hour shifts on a 24/7 roster located at Western Sydney International Airport.
Responsibilities
* Conduct electrical maintenance inspections.
* Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components.
* Ensure compliance with WHS standards.
* Perform fault finding on automated systems.
* Use data analytics to enhance system performance.
* Provide technical support to our customer.
Qualifications
* Australian trade qualification with Certificate III in Engineering – Electrical and at least 3 to 5 years post‐trade experience as a service technician.
* Strong electrical background working on industrial automated equipment.
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
* Dual trade certificate (electrical and mechanical) highly regarded.
* Experience in logistics, postal sorting, and baggage handling systems highly regarded.
* Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems).
* Highly motivated with a keen interest in furthering your own ability and studies.
