Chief Executive Officer (Based in Tom Price)

Up to $140k + highly subsidised housing and free utilities + vehicle + $15,900 salary packaging and other benefits

We are partnering with the Nintirri Centre to recruit their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role is offered as a two-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of permanency for a high-performing CEO.

The CEO works closely with the Board to ensure the organisation’s strategic vision is realised through strong governance, operational excellence and a culture of collaboration and integrity. Responsible for the overall leadership and management of Nintirri, the CEO provides strategic oversight across all areas of the organisation, including service delivery, financial performance, people and culture, stakeholder engagement and organisational sustainability.

The CEO is supported by a small, capable leadership team that plays a critical role in delivering smooth day-to-day operations. This includes the Office Manager, who is the organisation’s first point of contact, actively supports teams across programs and manages the Op Shop. This includes the Operations Manager, who oversees HR, finance and operational functions to ensure the organisation runs effectively and efficiently. A part-time, offsite Finance Manager provides specialist financial oversight, reporting and assurance, while a team of flexible business all‑rounders offer support across programs and backfill both planned and unplanned staff leave. Together, this leadership structure provides stability, continuity and operational depth across the organisation.

Through this team-based approach, the CEO drives innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring Nintirri delivers high-quality, community-focused programs that respond to local needs while strengthening long-term growth, resilience and reputation across the Pilbara region.

What makes us different?

As a leading community organisation in the Pilbara, Nintirri focuses on supporting local people, strengthening local communities and making sure everyone has access to the help they need. We work in the spaces where services are often missing or hard to reach, stepping in to connect people with support that can change lives – whether that’s around health, family, wellbeing, or community connection.

What makes us different is how we work. We put people first, we listen deeply, and we make sure our services and decisions are culturally safe and respectful. We partner with community rather than doing things to or for them. Our approach is built on trust, collaboration and doing what’s right, even when it’s hard.

Nintirri lives by four simple but powerful values: Respect, Belonging, Honesty and Connection. These guide how we show up, how we treat each other and how we work with the community.

We are also a workplace that values flexibility, trust and shared purpose. Every role – no matter the title – plays a part in helping people feel safe, supported and able to live healthy, fulfilling lives. Together, we help build strong, thriving communities and create long-lasting social impact across the region.

What you will be doing?

* Work closely with the Board, staff, partners and community to set and deliver the strategic direction of Nintirri Centre Inc.
* Represent Nintirri with professionalism and warmth, living our values in every interaction.
* Lead, support and develop the organisation’s leadership group and wider staff to build capability and confidence across the organisation.
* Work with the Board to ensure strong, transparent and best‑practice governance.
* Make sure Nintirri has the people, funding and resources it needs to achieve its goals.
* Strengthen the long‑term sustainability and resilience of the organisation through good planning, financial stewardship and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for?

* Proven senior leadership experience (5+ years) within community, not‑for‑profit, or government sectors
* Relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally in business, project management or similar
* The ability to recognise and articulate issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and proven capacity to consult and negotiate effectively and sensitively in accordance with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander protocols
* A high level of interpersonal skills for networking, consulting and liaising at all levels
* The ability to lead and build capacity within a multi‑disciplinary team honestly, transparently and objectively with a high level of confidence and commitment
* Advanced written skills including a demonstrated ability to research information and write complex reports
* Demonstrated understanding of community development
* Demonstrated knowledge of finance, budgeting and financial analysis
* Previous experience in attracting funding and sponsorship to an organisation

Why work with us?

* Salary packaging up to $15,900, in addition to your salary.
* Five weeks of annual leave to support rest and wellbeing.
* Subsidised, quality housing, with current rent set at $50 per week, free utilities and a comfortable 3x1 home with a backyard.
* A fully maintained Nintirri vehicle for use within the Shire of Ashburton.
