About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years' experience working in a deli, café, or similar environment, with a passion for good food and great service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve sandwiches, panini, focaccia, and other deli items
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with product selection
- Slice and handle meats, cheeses, and antipasto safely and hygienically
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, restocking, and rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with general store presentation and daily operations
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a deli or food retail environment
- Knowledge and love of Italian food is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and quality
- Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work well in a small, fast-paced team
