About the Role: Saturn Metals is progressing the Apollo Hill Gold Project through Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS). We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer in our West Perth office, to support project development. This is a rare opportunity to be involved across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility through to operation — within a focused owner's team.
Reporting to the Study Manager, you will provide senior‑level metallurgical and process engineering input across all phases of project development. Working closely with specialist consultants and internal stakeholders, you will ensure that processing outcomes are technically robust, economically sound, and aligned with long‑term operational objectives. You will also play a major role in operational readiness and the development of systems required for future operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee metallurgical test work programs with external consultants and maintain the metallurgical database
* Coordinate the engineering design phase, including the development of flow diagrams, mass balances, design drawings and equipment specifications
* Provide technical input into process and non‑process infrastructure designs, ensuring operability and cost effectiveness
* Develop production schedules and process control strategies for plant, heap leach, reagents, and water management
* Provide processing input to schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments
What We're Looking For:
* Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
* Minimum 5–8 years' operational experience in mineral processing, and/or feasibility studies
* Strong experience in gold processing design and/or operations
* Heap leach design or operational experience highly regarded
* Proven ability to lead metallurgical programs and contribute to project development
* Comfortable working in a lean owner's team with accountability and autonomy
* Strong analytical skills with experience handling complex data sets
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
About Saturn Metals: Founded in 2018 and listed on the ASX, Saturn Metals is an established Western Australian gold exploration company, with the main office located in West Perth. A positive Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for the Apollo Hill Gold Project, located near Leonora in the Northern Goldfields of Western Australia, outlining a long-life, standalone and scalable bulk gold mining and heap leach processing operation over an initial 14-year life with compelling returns, was announced to the market in December 2025.
Saturn's current cash position ensures it is funded past completion of the DFS in 2026 to move toward an investment decision on the Project and allows for continuing exploration momentum.
