The Role
As a Retail Supervisor at RECP GROUP PTY LTD operating as Tora Sushi, your main duties include:
Overseeing the daily running of the sushi and hot food kiosk to maintain smooth and efficient service.
Making sure customers receive friendly, timely service and handling any enquiries or issues that arise.
Preparing weekly rosters, allocating staff duties, and adjusting shifts according to business demand.
Training new staff members, including junior and teenage workers, and monitoring their work performance.
Guiding staff on how to handle more complex customer transactions and store procedures.
Monitoring stock levels, arranging orders for food ingredients and packaging, and completing stocktakes when required.
Ensuring products are correctly priced, labelled, and neatly presented in compliance with store standards.
Maintaining food safety practices, hygiene routines, WHS rules, and general store cleanliness.
Managing POS operations, daily cash handling, EFTPOS balancing, and end-of-day reports.
Liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries, product quality, and pricing discussions.
Supporting staff, addressing workplace concerns, and contributing to a positive team environment.
Reviewing sales results and assisting with basic store planning or promotional strategies.
Leading the team during busy periods and ensuring daily operations follow company expectations.
Skills & Experience Requirements
Relevant qualifications in retail, business or hospitality, or equivalent experience.
Previous experience supervising staff in a retail or food environment.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Able to use POS systems and basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of food safety, WHS procedures, and retail compliance requirements.
