Contaminated Land Management Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contaminated Land Management Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting environmental field works, collecting samples, interrogating large datasets, and preparing detailed technical assessments.
As a Contaminated Land Management Professional, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across government sector assets, petroleum-contaminated areas, mining and energy sector, and support clients in compliance requirements, remediation, rehabilitation, and transition to new uses.
You will also be responsible for overseeing contractors, ensuring safe and compliant field works programs, and collaborating with colleagues and clients to execute initiatives locally. Additionally, you will contribute to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and passion, promoting trust and unity among team members.
* Conduct environmental field works (e.g. drilling, hydrogeological testing, site validation, monitoring) with varied considerations for safety and intricate geology/hydrogeology.
* Collect environmental samples of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, ambient air and landfill gas, etc.
* Interrogate large datasets, develop conceptual site models and prepare detailed and concise field notes.
* Author technical assessments reports and recommendations.
* Oversee contractors and take responsibility for safe, compliant and quality field works programs.
* Apply legislation, standards, guidelines, and project specifications.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 3-7 years of relevant experience in contaminated land management.
* Previous consulting experience is required, including business development, proposal writing, and delivering exceptional client outcomes and cost-effective solutions.
* Experience in managing small to medium contaminated-site projects.
* Knowledge of soil contaminants, site sampling techniques, investigation methodologies and remediation technologies for groundwater, soil and gas.
* Understanding of NSW regulations pertaining to the management of contaminated sites.
